Research & Ideations
Background , Context, Methodology
“Aquanonics” is a future forwards solution that was proposed to Conservation international, ideating the potential of using Aquaponics to solve a humanitarian crisis within Liberia.
For context,
Women in Liberia are having to sell sex for fish, increasing the rise of sexually transmitted diseases and other health issues.
Reason why: Not enough fish in the ocean.
Our proposed solution: Bring the fish to the Women in way that would be both culturally and socially acceptable .
Call to action:
Women are the backbone of the fishing community within Liberia, if we do not find a way to protect them, then we miss opportunities and way of protecting both Humans and the environment.
